How the subathon timer and donations work

See how one accepted donation updates the timer, alerts, spinwheel, goals and leaderboard.

Sources → events → your tools → OBS#

A connector receives an event from your provider. Aarothon normalizes its type, sender, money and membership details. The app checks duplicate IDs and valuation, saves the result locally, then updates your enabled tools and OBS outputs.

You decide what runs#

You do not need a running countdown to use alerts, spinwheels, goals or leaderboards. Each module has its own controls. Stopping the timer pauses the countdown; accepted donations may still add time according to your rule. Hiding an OBS timer is also different from stopping its countdown.

Accepted and pending events#

Only accepted events enter the Recent Events OBS list. An unconfigured membership price or an unresolved currency can require review. Configure a membership tier or review the event using the app. Do not create a second manual donation just because an event is pending.

Local studio, connected sources#

Settings, history and installed voice models live in your application folder. Internet is needed to receive remote events, sign in, download updates and install the voice engine. Once installed, AI speech is generated locally. Aarothon is not a payment processor and does not collect donations on your behalf.
