Update Aarothon and back up your setup
Update the portable app and protect settings, event history and media before moving to another PC.
Update in the app#
Use the app’s update control, review the offered version and confirm installation. The updater checks the release signature, ZIP hash and version identity. Compatible updates preserve local data, settings, media, voices and fonts. Keep a full backup before a major move or update.
Back up the portable folder#
Close Aarothon normally before copying the entire extracted folder. Preserve .env, data, logs, media, voices and fonts. A clean download is not your personal backup. Google credentials encrypted for one Windows user/machine may require sign-in again on another machine.
Import event history#
Export history from Dữ liệu, then import into a newly extracted app folder with no event history. Import recomputes totals but does not add timer time or replay notifications. Set your timer afterwards. Reset History archives visible history; it does not make the existing database eligible for import and does not reset the timer. Keep your original folder as a backup.
If Windows blocks a download#
Do not turn off antivirus or add a blanket exclusion. Note the exact detected filename, threat name and app version, then contact support. Release-signature validation verifies the update’s origin and integrity; it is not a Microsoft antivirus clearance or an Authenticode publisher certificate.
